Serbest doğaçlama yöntemini kullanan küçük bir müzik terapisi grubunun üç temel terapötik faydası sunulmuş ve tartışılmıştır. Serbest doğaçlama yönteminin nasıl yapılandırıldığı ve kullanıldığına dair ayrıntılı bir açıklama sunulmaktadır. Üç temel fayda; Duyguları İfade Etme, Zihin beden entegrasyonu ve Sosyal Beceri gelişimi açıklanmıştır. Bu makalenin ana tezi, bu faydaları birlikte ele almanın hastaların ruh sağlığını ve davranışlarını iyileştirmeye yardımcı olabileceğini öne sürmektir.
