An Introduction to MER, a New Music Psychotherapy Approach for PTSD: Part 1—The Theoretical and Clinical Foundations

This article describes a new music psychotherapy approach for the clients with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and negative life events. Over 5 years ago, I developed music entrainment and reprocessing (MER). Part 1 of this article is about the history and the procedure of MER, and part 2 is about the outcome of MER and a vignette is also included to show MER procedure.
